Jeeps have always been a part of my life since I was a kid. My parents had them when I was growing up so my love for the brand came at a young age. We used to take our weekend outings in our Jeeps and at other times I would join my dad and we would head to the mountains or to the dunes and go wheeling just for something to do. (more…)
My ‘95 4.0L engine Wrangler is basically a YJ Wrangler as they know it elsewhere in the world (1987 – 1995), stretched from the 93.4 inches to 103 inches of wheelbase. (more…)
The Jeep Gladiator was introduced in 1962 and based on the SJ Jeep Wagoneer. There were several designations for the Gladiator based on its wheelbase: the J200 for short wheelbase trucks until mid-1965 when it became the J2000; J300 for long wheelbase trucks until mid-1965 when it became the J3000; and the J4000 which featured an even longer 131” wheelbase. At the end of the summer, my family and I headed into the mountains for a long weekend of camping and trail running, along with my heavily modified 2006 LJ Rubicon. In preparation for this trip, I spent hours loading and unloading my Jeep with every camping item we might need along with tools and pertinent spare parts for taking the Rubi on the rocks. (more…)
