Brakes…one of the most important components and systems on a vehicle. Yet they are also one of the components that are dismissed or forgotten until the time when it is needed the most. Rarely do we pay much attention to our brakes but we use them every time we drive. First Aid kits are probably present in every Jeep that travels off-road and if they aren’t, they need to be. They are quite handy for small cuts, scrapes, headaches etc; however, they are totally useless in the event of typical injuries you might encounter at a medical emergency off-road. For situations like this, you need medical training (a simple two day weekend course in Wilderness First Aid), as well as a very good trauma kit. (more…)

I have been wheeling with the Expedition One front winch bumper (with the Rubi-skid) and the Warn Powerplant for three months now. The bumper has taken a severe beating with the powdercoating mostly holding up and the Rubi-skid adequately protecting the weak spots near the radiator and the sway bar motor. (more…)
There are times when there are only one or two people and there isn’t a need for cooking a large meal. This time last year we had the opportunity to test the original Hero and had some really good chances to test it in different environments and situations to see what it could do. A surprisingly small camera it packed a large array of options that it could be used for, the Hero was able to take still shots like any other camera, bursts of stills where the camera would take 3 still shots on a setting and it also took videos.
